Great Grey Outfitters was established by Wayne and Susan Schigol, and have been serving bear and deer hunters with wildlife experiences since 1989. Our hunting territory is located in North Central Saskatchewan and is an exclusive outfitting area. Our scenic Lodge located on private land is located near Shipman, Saskatchewan, Canada and is central to our operating area. Great Grey Outfitters is fully licensed by the Saskatchewan Government and is a proud member of the Saskatchewan Outfitters Association (SOA). Both Wayne and Susan are active members of the SOA, with Susan serving on the board of directors of Tourism Saskatchewan.
Your hosts Wayne and Susan are full time outfitters offering you an unmatched hunting adventure utilizing the highest level of expertise. Wayne being born in Saskatchewan was raised in a world of outdoor life and hunting. Wayne was first active in the outfitting business owning and operating a fly in fishing camp in the late 1970's. Susan's finance and communications background was central to her success in her earlier career with the Federal Government. Wayne and Susan's interest in always wanting to know "what is over the next hill" led them to expand their business and develop new opportunities for their clients. In 1996, the Schigol's built a beautiful private Lodge to maintain the personal service and high standards they have become very well known for.
Great Grey's team of professional guides are highly motivated and trophy conscious. With a lifetime of hunting experience behind them and certifications, their commitment to our clientele is to provide the highest possible chances for a productive and successful hunt. Careful, personal attention to all aspects of the hunt experience assures us of being able to keep that commitment.
We look forward to providing you with a hunt of a lifetime.
